D. MARCUS BRASWELL, JR. is a partner with the firm of Sugarman Susskind Braswell & Herrera He has extensive litigation experience arising from hundreds of hearings and cases before federal and state courts, arbitrators, the National Labor Relations Board (“NLRB”), Florida Public Employees Relations Commission (“PERC”) and other Florida state administrative agencies. In his eighteen-plus years with the firm, Mr. Braswell has represented Taft-Hartley Trust Funds and Florida municipal retirement systems in more than hundred collections lawsuits and many more collections cases that were resolved without litigation.

He has been a longtime member of the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee. Marcus is also a member of the Florida Bar’s Labor & Employment Section. He is also active in the Miami community. Marcus has been a member of Catalyst Miami’s Board of Directors (formerly the Human Services Coalition) for nearly ten years; and is a former Board president. Catalyst Miami is one of Miami’s strongest and most active community service organizations.

Mr. Braswell received his B.A. Degree from Duke University and his law degree, cum laude, from the Florida State University’s College of Law. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in October 1998. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Florida, as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
